Preparing your Pet
- Be sure your pet has an id collar &/or license (if required) and is wearing it.
- Be sure your pet is up to date on all vaccinations. (Proof of vaccinations may be required)
- Be sure there is enough food, treats, medications, cat litter, etc. for your entire trip left preferably on the kitchen counter or pantry.
- Be sure leashes & toys are left out for your pet.
- Please provide your Vet with the name of your pet sitter in the event of a medical emergency. For overseas trips, please leave credit card info with your vet.
- Please prepare typed detailed instructions and leave for us on every service.
Preparing your Home
- Please be courteous and leave your home neat and tidy.
- Please leave your kitchen sink clean and free of dishes so that we may clean and rinse your pet's bowls daily.
- Please provide plenty of paper towels and general cleaning supplies for any cleanup that may be necessary.
- Set your thermostat at a comfortable temperature.
- Please remove ALL accumulated pet waste in yards, garages, patios, & dog runs.
- Cat box litter should be fully changed and clean at the start of your trip.
- You may wish to inform your neighbor(s) that a pet sitter will be caring for your pet(s).
- Close any doors that you don't wish your pet to have access.
- Please leave your mail key and box number (if required) for us and we will kindly gather your mail each day.
- We suggest that you stop your newspaper delivery while you're away.
- Perishables should be removed from your refrigerator and counters for extended trips (i.e. milk, fruit, bread, meat).
- Please empty all waste baskets and trash compactor bags before you leave.
- Please mark your trash bins so we can identify them on trash day
- Please unplug small appliances which may pose a fire hazard (i.e., coffee makers, hair dryers, toasters)
- Pool areas & gates must be secured with locks.
