We are While You R Away® Professional Pet Sitting Services - Irvine Location.  We are one of the most recognized providers of in-home pet sitting care in Orange County, CA. We provide our clients with personalized pet care programs as a better alternative to boarding - the result is a happier and healthier pet.  Each pet program is tailored to our clients' lifestyles and includes daily dog walks, extended business & personal travel care, overnight stays, medications administered, regular exercise, and nutrition counseling.

Our clients' peace of mind and their pets' well-being are our highest priorities. That is why every one of our trained pet professionals is carefully screened, bonded & insured.  Our caring & experience set us apart because this is all we do and we do it right every time!

The While You R Away®  Story

While You R Away® was founded in 2000 by Michael Klein & Linda Valentine of Ladera Ranch, CA who left the corporate world in pursuit of their dream - to create and market the most professional, caring, & successful in-home pet sitting services company in the United States.  Their combined passion for animals and business know-how were the perfect ingredients in their early success.  In  2005, While You R Away® was registered and trademarked with the US Trademark Office. 

In late 2005, Michael & Linda teamed up with Ladera Ranch neighbor (and one of their very first pet sitting clients), Steve Blazier.  Their goal was to expand their services throughout Orange County, CA and eventually nationwide.  Shortly thereafter, Steve decided he would launch While You R Away® - Irvine as an Owner/Operator. So, on March 6th, 2006, the second location was born. Combined, the two locations, serve more than 400 clients and over 750 pets.

In 2008, despite an uneasy economy, success continued with While You R Away®, when Beverly Oden, one of the Ladera Ranch team's own members decided it was time to branch out on her own and establish the territory of Laguna Niguel and Aliso Viejo - more commonly known as While You R Away - West.  

Each one of While You R Away's locations is independently owned and operated, licensed, insured, and bonded.  More importantly, each one is made up of pet owners and pet lovers - just like you.  We've built our sound reputation out of simply doing what we love to do, each and every day, one client at a time.  Afterall, we didn't invent pet sitting, we just perfected it!  We appreciate the opportunity to share our story with you and we welcome the chance to serve your pet sitting needs.
